Courses for 3-6 years old
Early Development
Age of children: 3-4 years old
What we study:
Lesson duration: 45 minutes
Little why-askers raise more than 300 questions during the day. They are interested in all and even in a little more because they make their first discoveries every day.
The "Early Development" course is designed for the youngest researchers. In the classroom children find answers to all their questions, learn how to combine LEGO Duplo bricks, and construct their first models. By composing fun games with constructed models, children interact with peers, improve speech and fine motor skills. They also acquire initial ideas about colors, sizes, shapes of objects.
What results do we achieve:
On the course students will learn how to distinguish between the concepts of "size", "shape", "color", "quantity" and "spatial arrangement of objects" (left-right, top-bottom).
Children will develop an interest in interacting with peers.
Students will qualitatively develop fine motor skills, replenish vocabulary, and also learn independence.
Science in your World
Age of children: 4-5 years old
What we study:
Lesson duration: 1 hour
How does an airplane take off into the sky? Why do we need the fountains? What does an IT doctor do? A lot of questions from young researchers are waiting for an answer.
The Science in your World course is designed for children who actively explore the world, ask innumerable questions, and want to know everything. During the course students learn new things about the nature, our planet, the arrangement of a modern city, and a variety of professions. Students construct colorful models from LEGO Systems, explore and learn through play.
What results do we achieve:
In the classroom students will construct a microscope and models of their favorite animals, create an architectural project of the city.
In the process of playing and constructing, children will expand their own worldview, develop logical thinking, master the mathematical concepts of "quantity", "number", "space", "time".
Learn to generalize, compare, and group objects.
They will master the ideas about nature and culture of the Earth, features of various professions. They will also learn how to express their own opinions and develop communication skills.
Fun with Engineering
Age of children: 5-6 years old
What we study:
Lesson duration: 1 hour
To design your own plane, rocket or skyscraper that surpassed the Burj Khalifa is within the power of every inquisitive legomaster.
The "Fun with Engineering" course will help to fulfill a childhood LEGO dream. In the classroom young engineers will learn the technical inventions of mankind and their impact on the future. They will understand the origins and operations of the technical devices that surround us (a camera, a steamboat, a drawbridge, a tower crane). Children will design various types of vehicles, spacecrafts, buildings, and structures; conduct experiments and make simple generalizations.
What results do we achieve:
On the course students will develop logical and engineering thinking, independence, and creativity.
Let’s make your own artworks with LEGO bricks. Let’s establish causal relationships in the environment.
Children will develop imagination, the ability to plan their work, how determine the goals and achieve them.
Programming with Scratch Junior
Age of children: 5-7 years old
What we study:
Lesson duration: 1 hour
The course is structured into 9 thematic blocks: "Transport", "Habitat", "Friends of Nature", "Space", "Adventure", "Colorful World", "Animal Planet", "Hobbies and Interests", "Games and Entertainment". The "Programming with Scratch Junior" course will help tireless researchers to learn the basic skills of programming in an interesting way.
Children will get acquainted with such serious concepts as an algorithm, a cycle, a function; learn how to invent their own stories and bring them to life. In the Scratch Junior software environment, many opportunities are opened for the students: creating their own projects, presentations, animations, simple games, and drawing in a graphics editor.
What results do we achieve:
during the course students will create their own unique animated projects, games in the Scratch Junior software environment.
They will gain an understanding of simple sequences, patterns and algorithms of actions, orientation in visual coding blocks.
Learn how to work in the graphics editor of the application.
They will develop openness to communication with peers, the ability to work in a team, and present the results of their activities.
